The six phases
FROM GRAPHITE TO OBJECT.
Continuity over reinvention. Each phase is the same drawing, carrying more graphite than the one before it — until the drawing becomes an object.
CONSTRUCTION
The initial structural drawing: geometry, axes, proportions, pose. Almost no shading.
DEVELOPMENT
The same exact drawing evolves. Graphite, facial detail, hair, anatomy and shadow are added. It is never regenerated as a different image.
FINAL GRAPHITE
Maximum graphite detail in face, eyes and hair, while parts of the body remain deliberately incomplete, fading into the paper.
DIGITALIZATION & POST-PRODUCTION
The graphite master is digitalized at high resolution. Contrast, grain and tonal depth are calibrated so the print carries the exact weight of the original graphite.
FINE ART PRODUCTION
Printed on Hahnemühle fine-art paper with pigment inks, in A4 standard format. A3 exists only by request for selected special series.
SILENTIUM SIGNATURE / OBJECT COMPLETION
Mounted on Dibond. A hand-applied Silentium red stripe is placed on the work. Signature, marking and serial number are added, the Certificate of Authenticity is issued, and the work is packed in Silentium collector packaging.
